As a long-time classic movie buff and a big fan of animated movies, I’m amazed that I haven’t seen Fantasia – Walt Disney’s 1940 film consisting of animated segments set to classical music – aside from a theatre showing in Midland, Texas, when I was too young to appreciate it.  This card features Disney Studio concept art for the “Nutcracker Suite” portion of the movie and was originally published in the highly-recommended The Art of Disney: The Golden Age (1937-1961) published by San Francisco’s Chronicle Books last year.  The postcard was sent by Sara in Birmingham, Alabama, as a part of the A Month of Letters Challenge on 9 February 2015 and arrived in Phuket some nineteen days later.
